This week we got to see the Fall/Winter ’14 collection for Karen Walker in New York. Effortlessly chic, cool without trying and no fuss are phrases that sprang to mind.

With a nod to the suffragette woman, you can see militant shapes juxtaposed with ladylike needlepoint, work coats with ruffles and contrasting pattern details of broken hearts, gloved hands and fighting angels, the collection oozes with tough elegance. The Karen Walker woman for Fall/Winter is confident without being arrogant, she paves her own path and she certainly knows how to throw an outfit together. The collection comprises of mixed techniques and fabrics such as; brushed cotton, drill and suede in a colour palette that ranges from dust pink, navy, grey and boldly in black (a rarity for Karen).

It was certainly hard try to edit out favourite looks, which is a clear sign of a great collection. To view the full show in action simply watch the video below.
